About the Position: The Armament Research, Development and Engineering Center (ARDEC) is the Army's Center of Lethality, and provides more than 90 percent of the Army's lethality to Soldiers. ARDECs mission includes: improving already fielded items, developing new items, maintaining a strong armament technology base in government, industry and academia and provide technical support to Soldiers in the field. Enterprise & Systems Integration Center works within the ARDEC enterprise, providing armaments technology customers with products and services that are under budget, delivered ahead of schedule, and that perform beyond expectations.
ESIC serves as the ARDEC Executive Agent to ensure cost, schedule, performance adherence, and sustainability of ARDEC projects through the use of consistent processes, utilizing an empowered Integrated Product Team approach, employing best practices which will maximize workforce agility, minimize cost, exceed quality standards and accelerate technology transition to the field.
This position is located Logistics Research and Engineering Directorate.
Picatinny's location is ideal for a variety of leisure activities, including summer and winter sports. Nearby New York City offers museums, the Broadway theater district and other famous entertainment venues. Atlantic City is within driving distance and offers a wide spectrum of entertainment activities. As an Engineering Technician you will:
1. Plans, conducts and evaluates test projects onexperimental and developmental armament systems and their components and/orspecialized projects.
2. Handle explosively loaded armament items andcomponents, both standard and experimental under a variety of conditions.
3. Applicationof a practical knowledge of mechanical engineering methods and techniques;
4. Interprets and modifies test precedents to meetnew test requirements; oral and written communication skills to dealeffectively with contractors, manufacturing test representatives, andrepresentatives from other Department of Army activities.
In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Specialized
Experience: To qualify applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade/level (GS-06). Specialized experience is defined as performing a variety of duties that include: (1) experience in developing standard operating procedures; (2) experience in handling munitions; (3) experience briefing superiors.
OR
Successful completion of one full year of graduate level education. Education meets the requirements for GS-07 only in those instances where it is directly related to the work of the position (i.e., major study in an appropriate field of engineering, construction or industrial technology). NOTE: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.
OR
An appropriate combination of related graduate education and specialized experience which equate to at least 100% of the requirement. NOTE: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.

You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency (knowledge, skills, abilities) in the following areas:
Knowledge of mechanical engineering methods and techniques

Ability to conduct tests on a variety of large and small caliber armament systems, subsystems, munitions and components
Ability to communicate in writing

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. Completion of at least one full year of graduate level education leading to a Master's degree, including courses such as engineering or industrial technology, construction, physics, drafting, surveying, physical science, or mathematics. One year of full-time graduate education is considered to be the number of credit hours that the school attended has determined to represent 1 year of full time study. If that information cannot be obtained from the school, 18 semester hours should be considered as satisfying the 1 year of full-time study requirement. Part-time graduate education is creditable in accordance with it relationship to a year of full-time study at the school attended.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
