One year of specialized experience which includes:
1) Operate different types of imaging equipment such as X-Ray and CT; 2) Perform troubleshooting of different types of imaging equipment; and 3) Evaluate and interpret Image Quality Indicators. 1) Provide advice to Radiographers in various levels of inspection using digital and film X-Ray systems; 2) Subject matter expertise in the programming and operation of X-Ray imaging Equipment; and 3) Create work instructions and/or Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for X-Ray inspections using set parameters and energy output, etc. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-10). One year of specialized experience which includes; 1) Conduct product inspection studies on developmental of major items and components; 2) Train operators in programming and operation of X-Ray Imaging machines; 3) Train operators in X-Ray inspection using set technique parameters and energy output, etc.; and 4) Influence change of X-Ray technique variables through extensive knowledge and expertise image optimization and expert placement of Image Quality Indicators (IQI).
